1. Introduce division of whole numbers by unit fractions (e.g., 3 ÷ 1/2). 2. Model the concept: 'How many 1/4s are in 1?' leads to '3 ÷ 1/4 = 12'. 3. Introduce the 'invert and multiply' rule simply as a shortcut. 4. Practice: Solve 4 ÷ 1/3 and 2 ÷ 1/5 in notebooks.
