Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
1. Review finding LCM and HCF for larger numbers using prime factorization. 2. Guided Practice: Solve a problem where items need to be packed equally (HCF focus). 3. Guided Practice: Solve a problem where events happen at different intervals and meet again (LCM focus). 4. Activity: In pairs, learners create their own 'Interval Problem' for another pair to solve.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about Number Theory. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on Number Theory. Learners share one new thing they found out about Number Theory. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on Number Theory.
