Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning

Recap previous knowledge about Materials. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about Materials? Introduction to today's objectives regarding Materials. Mental drill or quick quiz related to Materials.

Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment

1. Observe physical properties: Solids (fixed shape), Liquids (take shape of container), Gases (spread to fill space). 2. Experiment: Spray perfume and observe how the 'gas' moves across the room. 3. Learners create a table and categorize 10 items from the school environment.

Phase 3plenary / reflections

Summarize what we learned today about Materials. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on Materials. Learners share one new thing they found out about Materials. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on Materials.
