Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Let learners jog within a demarcated area to warm up their bodies Show learners pictures or videos depicting the skill to be learnt.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Learners determine heart rate using their age. Learners learn how to take the heart beat by palpating at the radial artery or carotid artery. During exercise, learners should be encouraged to take heart rates for 15 seconds and multiply by 4 to obtain beat per minutes. Learners use various gadgets that determine exercise intensity and heart rate during and after physical activity. For this activity, learners use skipping rope, locally made ball and personal activity record cards to complete a short activity and record or review their personal fitness goal and participation.
