Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Learners jog within demarcated area with their hands stretched sideways to imitate a flying bird to warm their body up.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
The teacher securely suspends a light locally made cloth ball from raffia string and low crossbar. Use sticks of chalk to mark a waiting line and a safe striking position on the ground. After warm-up, demonstrate how to stand at the marked position and strike the hanging ball gently upward with an open hand. Learners practise one at a time before repeating the action with the inside of the foot. Partners count controlled strikes while the teacher checks balance, spacing and safe movement. End with a gentle cool-down.
