Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Have learners play games and recite familiar rhymes to begin the lesson Using questions and answers, review their understanding of the previous lesson
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Learners explain how moderate to vigorous physical activities improve aerobic capacity (ability of the body system to process oxygen) for maintenance and improvement of good health. Engage learners to participate in regular physical activities. For this activity, learners use printed photographs of Ghanaian children exercising, skipping rope and locally made ball to identify fitness or health benefits and demonstrate familiar activities that develop them.
