Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Using questions and answers, find out what learners already know about measuring and marking out in the sewing laboratory.
Introduce the lesson by sharing the performance indicators. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Concrete-resource task: Set out these resources for each group: Safety goggles; Tape measure; Kente fabric offcut. Learners inspect and safely handle each item, then use the items in the practical health, food, materials, or workshop task below.
Groups identify the Kente fabric offcut, use the tape measure to take and record two measurements, and demonstrate when the safety goggles should be worn.
