Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning

Recap previous knowledge about topical African issues. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about topical African issues? Introduction to today's objectives regarding topical African issues. Mental drill or quick quiz related to topical African issues.

Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment

Research and gather information on current African issues using various resources. Create and expand portfolios with diverse media including videos, notes, and photos. Present findings for class discussions and engage in peer reviews. Reflect on feedback to develop and refine concepts for artworks and performances. Brainstorm and design visual and performance works focused on African topics.

Phase 3plenary / reflections

Summarize what we learned today about topical African issues. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on topical African issues. Learners share one new thing they found out about topical African issues. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on topical African issues.
