Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Engage learners to sing songs and play games to get them ready for lesson.
Use questions and answers to review learners understanding in the previous lesson.
Play games and recite rhymes that learners are familiar with to begin the lesson.

Learners watch pictures/videos illustrating the shape of the earth–picture and video of an approaching ship.
Learners sketch the globe to illustrate the shape and angle of the earth on its axis.
For this activity, learners use locally made clay globe, Ghana map and printed photographs of clean and polluted Ghanaian surroundings to examine the earth model and connect local environmental care with places shown on the map. | Phase 3plenary / reflections Ask learners questions to review their understanding of the lessson.
