Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about cut. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about cut? Introduction to today's objectives regarding cut. Mental drill or quick quiz related to cut.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Identify and practice recognizing polygons with and without square corners using cut-out papers. Examine and discuss features of quadrilaterals, including rhombuses, parallelograms, trapezoids, rectangles, and squares. Regroup and draw different types of quadrilaterals to reinforce understanding. Engage in repeated practice of identifying and categorizing polygons and quadrilaterals throughout the week.
