Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about their own. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about their own? Introduction to today's objectives regarding their own. Mental drill or quick quiz related to their own.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Introduce art vocabulary: line, shape, texture, pattern, contrast. Guide learners to observe an artwork and describe what they see using the new words. Practice 'Constructive Feedback'—saying something good and one thing to improve. Discuss how different artworks make us feel (happy, calm, excited).
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about their own. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on their own. Learners share one new thing they found out about their own. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on their own.
