Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about themselves. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about themselves? Introduction to today's objectives regarding themselves. Mental drill or quick quiz related to themselves.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Teach the specific terms for family members (mother, father, siblings, grandparents). Guide learners to introduce themselves and their family structure to the class. Discuss the roles of different family members in the home. Practice polite ways of addressing elders in the local language.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about themselves. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on themselves. Learners share one new thing they found out about themselves. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on themselves.
