Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Begin with a brief listening exercise where students hear simple commands and act them out. Discuss the importance of following instructions in daily activities. Introduce a short story, prompting students to visualize the setting and characters. Engage students in a quick game of charades using verbs and nouns from the story. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Oral Language:
Students practice giving and responding to commands with a partner, using everyday classroom scenarios.
Organize a role-play session where students follow a series of instructions to complete a task, such as organizing classroom materials.
Reading:
Students read a short passage and draw a scene they visualized, sharing their illustrations with peers to discuss interpretations.
Guide students through a text, asking them to visualize and describe the emotions of characters at different points.
Writing:
Provide students with jumbled sentences from a familiar story and guide them to rearrange them into a logical sequence.
Conduct a writing workshop where students write simple sentences and combine them into compound sentences.
Using Writing Conventions:
Introduce a sentence construction activity where students identify and highlight nouns and verbs.
Guide students in creating a simple sentence using a chosen noun and verb, then expanding it into a compound sentence.
