Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about Data Presentation. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about Data Presentation? Introduction to today's objectives regarding Data Presentation. Mental drill or quick quiz related to Data Presentation.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Convert tally marks into a frequency table and calculate pie chart angles using the formula (Frequency / Total) × 360°. Use a protractor to accurately draw pie chart sectors based on calculated angles. Interpret pie charts to identify the most and least popular categories. Assess understanding by having students create a pie chart of class favorite subjects.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about Data Presentation. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on Data Presentation. Learners share one new thing they found out about Data Presentation. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on Data Presentation.
