Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about the causes. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about the causes? Introduction to today's objectives regarding the causes. Mental drill or quick quiz related to the causes.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Classify diseases into pathogenic and non-pathogenic categories based on their causes. Discuss the transmission, symptoms, and prevention of Malaria and Cholera. Emphasize prevention strategies such as using treated nets, proper handwashing, and vaccination. Assess understanding by listing prevention methods for waterborne diseases.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about the causes. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on the causes. Learners share one new thing they found out about the causes. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on the causes.
