Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Begin with a brief discussion on what opinions are and how they can be expressed. Introduce diphthongs by pronouncing a few examples and having students repeat them. Engage students in a quick exercise where they recall and share new vocabulary words learned in the previous week.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Oral Language: Students practice identifying diphthongs in words from a listening exercise and then share their opinions on the importance of pronunciation. Engage in a group discussion where each student expresses an opinion on a given topic, using sentences with diphthongs. Grammar: Conduct an activity where students create sentences using new vocabulary words, focusing on correct grammar usage.
