Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Using questions and answers, revise with learners on what was studied previously.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Groups locate short teacher-selected passages in the Bible and Qur'an that describe God as creator, provider, merciful or all-knowing. They examine the Printed photograph of a Ghanaian traditional shrine and discuss respectful traditional names, symbols or oral teachings that express attributes of the Supreme Being. Learners create a three-column comparison and identify shared attributes and distinct expressions across Christianity, Islam and African Traditional Religion. They conclude with examples of how those attributes should influence daily conduct.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Use peer discussion and effective questioning to find out from learners what they have learnt during the lesson.
