Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about the formation. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about the formation? Introduction to today's objectives regarding the formation. Mental drill or quick quiz related to the formation.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
1. Introduce the NLM (founded in 1954) and its leader, Baffour Osei Akoto. 2. Explain their demand for a 'Federal' system of government (sharing power with regions). 3. Discuss the tension between the NLM and the CPP (who wanted a 'Unitary' system). 4. Analyze how this conflict shaped the final constitution of Ghana.

Summarize what we learned today about the formation. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on the formation. Learners share one new thing they found out about the formation. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on the formation.
