Learners discuss ways of ensuring food safety e.g. wash hands well, cover food well, serve in clean plates, serve cooked food hot Learners demonstrate how to cook and serve hot food safely. Engage learners to identify safety food practices. Food safety practices include preparing food in a safe manner, serving food in safe manner and cleaning up. learners mention some table manners. For this activity, learners use bar of soap, covered bowl of local food and printed food-hygiene picture cards to demonstrate clean handling and identify safe hygiene practices.
