Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about the main characters. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about the main characters? Introduction to today's objectives regarding the main characters. Mental drill or quick quiz related to the main characters.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
1. Read a story together as a class, focusing on correct pronunciation of local tones. 2. Discuss who the story is about (Characters) and where it happened (Setting). 3. Learners list three characters and one thing each did in the story.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about the main characters. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on the main characters. Learners share one new thing they found out about the main characters. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on the main characters.
