Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about appropriate greetings. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about appropriate greetings? Introduction to today's objectives regarding appropriate greetings. Mental drill or quick quiz related to appropriate greetings.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
1. Identify greetings for morning, afternoon, and evening. 2. Discuss the importance of using the right hand and appropriate titles for elders. 3. Learners practice greeting different people (peer, parent, chief) in small groups.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about appropriate greetings. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on appropriate greetings. Learners share one new thing they found out about appropriate greetings. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on appropriate greetings.
