Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Engage students in a discussion about their favorite characters from recently read stories, highlighting their traits.
Introduce comparative adjectives by comparing two well-known characters, such as describing who is braver or more intelligent.
Ask students to brainstorm a list of adjectives that can be used to compare characters and write them on the board.
Read a short story aloud and pause to discuss the differences and similarities between two characters using comparative adjectives. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Oral Language:
Organize a role-play activity where students act out a scene between two characters and use comparative adjectives to describe them during the performance.
