Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Play a piece of traditional music and ask how it makes them feel.
Show a local painting and ask for their first impressions. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Introduce the concept of appraising (judging the quality carefully).
In pairs, learners look at another group's art and find two things they like.
Discuss what colors or sounds made them choose those things. | Phase 3plenary / reflections Share appraisals with the class.
