Learners to sing songs and play games to get them ready for the lesson Show pictures of visual artworks to learners for them to observe and talk about them Review learners understanding in the previous lesson using questions and answers Engage learners to play games and sing songs to begin the lesson.

Learners are to recall from memory what current issues are of concern to people in the local community. Example: unemployment Recall the selection of local artworks that reflect current topical issues of concern to the local community. Let learners make pencil outlines to define the artworks they plan to make to reflect the topical local issues; Guide learners to recall all kinds of music, dance, drama that reflect the history and culture of the people. Have learners to sing familiar songs, or perform dances found in their community. Let learners put on their local costumes to perform the artwork in groups as teacher(s) observe. (Other teachers can be invited to observe) For this activity, learners use pencils and crayons, old cartons and manila paper and kente and Adinkra samples to study familiar designs and create visual artworks with locally available materials.
