Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about the history of the Web. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about the history of the Web? Introduction to today's objectives regarding the history of the Web. Mental drill or quick quiz related to the history of the Web.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Highlight Sir Tim Berners-Lee's role in creating the World Wide Web. Discuss the evolution from Web 1.0 to Web 2.0 and introduce Web 3.0. Clarify the difference between the Internet and the World Wide Web. Assess students by having them explain two differences between the Internet and the World Wide Web.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about the history of the Web. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on the history of the Web. Learners share one new thing they found out about the history of the Web. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on the history of the Web.
