Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Revise with learners through questions and answers to review learners understanding in the previous lesson. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Groups study the Printed photographs of Ghanaian rain clouds and describe local evidence of evaporation, cloud formation and rainfall. They arrange the Printed water-cycle stage cards in a repeating sequence and place each card on the matching part of the Printed water-cycle diagram. Learners trace water through evaporation, condensation, precipitation, collection and transpiration and explain why the cycle has no fixed beginning or end. | Phase 3plenary / reflections Use peer discussion and effective questioning to find out from learners what they have learnt during the lesson. |

Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Revise with learners through questions and answers to review learners understanding in the previous lesson.
Share performance indicators and introduce the lesson. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment The teacher positions the Clear glass plate above the Teacher-handled kettle of hot water while learners remain at a safe distance. Ice cubes are placed on top of the plate so learners can observe water vapour cooling and droplets forming underneath. Groups record evaporation and condensation observations and relate the growing droplets to cloud formation and precipitation. Only the teacher handles the hot water and warmed apparatus. | Phase 3plenary / reflections Use peer discussion and effective questioning to find out from learners what they have learnt during the lesson.
