Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about the roles. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about the roles? Introduction to today's objectives regarding the roles. Mental drill or quick quiz related to the roles.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
1. Identify different types of leaders: Traditional (Chiefs), Religious (Imams/Pastors), and Political (Assembly members). 2. Discuss specific roles: settling disputes, organizing communal labor, and representing the community's needs to the government. 3. Discuss how leaders ensure the safety and welfare of the people. 4. Activity: Write a letter to a community leader suggesting one improvement for your neighborhood.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
Summarize what we learned today about the roles. Oral assessment: Answer key questions on the roles. Learners share one new thing they found out about the roles. Check for understanding and wrap up the week on the roles.
