Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Engage learners to play games and sing songs to begin the lesson. Use questions to review learners understanding in the previous lesson.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Groups study printed Ghanaian communal-labour scenario cards and identify actions that show commitment to society such as protecting public property, reporting danger and joining an organised clean-up. Learners use a broom and waste basket in a supervised classroom or compound demonstration of responsible communal work. They observe hygiene rules and avoid sharp or hazardous waste. Each group completes manila civic-action cards with one duty, its benefit and a realistic action learners can take. Groups dramatise and present their civic commitment.
