Reading Short Passages

In this topic you will read short passages with sentences of four or five words.

By the end of these notes you should be able to:

  • Read a short passage aloud
  • Answer questions about the passage
  • Read with a pointer to keep your place

Introduction

A passage is a few sentences about one topic. Let us read a short passage about Esi's goat.

"Esi has a white goat. The goat eats green grass. It drinks cool water. Esi loves her goat."
