Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Welcome learners and discuss expectations for Term 1 in English Language. Use brief questions to recall useful previous knowledge and identify areas learners want to improve. | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Learners sort and discuss the printed English review cards, record personal learning targets in their exercise books with pencils, and share targets while the teacher groups them on the chalkboard with chalk.
Guide learners to review key ideas and skills needed for the term.
