Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning Use questions and answers to review the previous lesson with learners. Engage learners to play games and sing songs to begin the lesson | Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment Display basic mobile phones or mock phone cut-outs and identify the parts used to compose, send and receive a message. Do not use personal accounts or real private contact details.
Groups sequence printed SMS and email screen cards from composing a message through addressing, checking and sending it. They compare the visible features of an SMS and an email.
Learners select locally made sender-recipient cards and role-play sending a short safe school message to the named recipient.
