Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Recap previous knowledge about Authority. Quick brainstorm: What do you already know about Authority? Introduction to today's objectives regarding Authority. Mental drill or quick quiz related to Authority.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Identify authority figures in various settings: home, school, community, and state. Discuss reasons for respecting and obeying authority, such as promoting unity and avoiding punishment. Assessment: Explain reasons for respecting authority. In groups, discuss and write about reasons to obey authority. Present group findings for class discussion. Assessment: Write about reasons to obey authority.
Phase 3plenary / reflections
