Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Show a short video clip and ask students to describe what they observed, using descriptive language. Present a series of pictures related to the week's theme and have students predict what the lesson will be about. Introduce a list of vocabulary words with visuals and ask students to infer meanings based on the images. Conduct a brief discussion on a familiar topic to activate prior knowledge and set a context for the lesson.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Oral Language: Students will present a short story using visual aids to enhance clarity and context. Engage in pair-share activities where students use visual resources to clarify their ideas. Reading: Students will read a short passage and use context clues to confirm their understanding of unfamiliar words. Conduct a guided reading session where students use questioning strategies to confirm comprehension.
