Paste a chart showing pictures of different types of plants (trees, shrubs, climbing, creeping). Learners describe the physical features of different types of plants -in terms of their structure and size.
Let learners bring samples of plants to class. They explore the physical characteristics of the plants in groups. Guide learners to draw some of the plants in their books. Learners create a plant album of different types of plants. (shrubs, trees, climbing and creeping plants).
For this activity, learners use local shrub and climbing-plant cuttings, printed photographs of Ghanaian trees and creepers and exercise books to compare plant structures and sizes and sketch the observed types. | Phase 3plenary / reflections Ask learners questions to review their understanding of the lessson. Give learners task to do whiles you go round to guide those who need help.
