Opoku Ware School (OWASS) is an all-boys Catholic senior high school in Santasi, Kumasi, established in 1952 as one of five Catholic secondary schools founded that year in Ghana. Originally named Yaa Asantewaa College, it was renamed after the Asante King Opoku Ware I on the advice of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Agyeman Prempeh II. Its alumni are known as 'Akatakyie' (conquering heroes), and the school has a strong record in the National Science and Maths Quiz.
