Introduction

Ghana is a big country. To govern it well, it is divided into parts called regions. Ghana has 16 regions.

1. What is a Region?

Region: A large part of a country with its own capital town.

Before 2019, Ghana had 10 regions. In 2019, six new regions were created. Now there are 16.
