Explain the use of prostheses and orthoses to manage, correct and treat disabilities. Exploratory Learning: Individually, conduct a research on the Internet about the usage of prostheses and orthoses. Cooperative Learning: Engage in a class discussion to arrive on the definition and functions of prothesis and orthosis, using examples from videos, pictures and experiences of learners. Discuss the pathological effects of disease, trauma, malformation and loss of the lower and upper limbs and relate them to functional loss. Talk about examples of prostheses and orthoses and their sites of application. Project-Based Learning: Learners research and identify examples of functional losses of the limbs, deduce whether these effects are as a result of pathological effects, trauma, malformation or loss of upper/lower limbs and propose solutions to these effects using prosthesis or orthoses. Collaborative Learning: Make group presentations to the class based on the findings

Key Notes on Differentiation
Content	Use labelled diagrams, simplified case cards, vocabulary supports, device images and stepwise prompts for learners who need additional support. Extend advanced learners with multi-factor cases, risk-benefit evaluation, source-credibility analysis, design constraints or deeper system interpretation.
Process	Use mixed-ability and gender-balanced grouping with clear roles such as observer, recorder, risk assessor, presenter or design lead. Where access to hospitals, laboratories or biomedical devices is limited, use curriculum-aligned images, videos, simulations, case data and virtual/printed workflows without changing the learning objective.
Product	Allow appropriate evidence such as risk maps, case analyses, mind maps, system diagrams, diagnostic/therapy comparison charts, research reports, design proposals or presentations.
