Phase 1: Starterpreparing the brain for learning
Begin with a storytelling session where learners listen to a short, engaging story. Ask students to identify the main characters and setting of the story. Conduct a quick recap of personal and possessive pronouns with examples. Engage learners in a brief discussion about their favorite stories and why they like them.
Phase 2: Mainnew learning including assessment
Oral Language: Have students work in pairs to retell the story they heard in the starter, focusing on including as many details as possible. Conduct a group activity where students create a short skit based on the story, emphasizing dialogue and character actions. Reading: Guide students in reading a story passage and identifying key plot points and character actions. Lead a discussion on how the story's setting influences the plot and character decisions. Grammar Usage: Provide exercises where students replace nouns with appropriate personal and possessive pronouns in sentences. Conduct a game where students match sentences with the correct pronouns to improve understanding. Writing: Assign a task where students write a short paragraph describing their favorite character and using pronouns correctly.
